THE PORTSWOOD HOTEL AND SURROUNDING BEECHES
Standard Room (Bed and Breakfast)
The four star Portswood Hotel can be found at Cape Town’s premier location, the famous Victoria and Alfred Waterfront near the Cape Town city centre. The hotel is seen as an important part of Cape Town’s history, as the restaurant and lobby are built around the original well and holding cells for prisoners en route to Robben Island 300 years ago. Today it offers comfortable accommodation, exclusive amenities and convenient facilities, including a swimming pool, restaurant, bar and business centre. Of course, no stay would be complete without one of the Quarterdeck Restaurant’s famous breakfasts or traditional Cape Malay dishes before taking the short trip to Cape Town’s vibrant Victoria & Alfred Waterfront where a variety of chic boutiques and entertainment venues await.
Cape Town’s main attractions are all within easy reach of the hotel such as Table Mountain and its cable car, the Two Oceans Aquarium at the V&A Waterfront, the Camps Bay beach and Clifton beaches, Robben Island, the Castle of Cape Town and the many museums, exhibitions and markets in the city centre.
The hotel provides the ideal accommodation choice for business and leisure travellers alike. It is the sister hotel of the next door Commodore Hotel, both of which belong to the ‘Legacy Hotels & Resorts’ hotel group of South Africa. What makes this hotel special is the excellent service and its ideal location for travellers.
The Portswood Hotel offers 103 rooms, consisting of 59 twin rooms, 35 double rooms, and 9 suites. Comfort has been kept in mind for each of them, so whichever room you choose, you are assured of a relaxing, unforgettable stay.
